Thanawat Pholvichai, spokesman of the GLO's board, said lottery sellers regularly sell bundles of tickets at higher prices than those stipulated by the office. The practice leads to inflated prices as sellers need to spend more to buy tickets bearing the same numbers in order to form the bundles. Mr Thanawat said the GLO will start to sell them in bundles before the lottery results are released on July 16, if not later this year. The GLO will permanently suspend the quotas for those who sell tickets at inflated prices. He said it would spur lottery ticket sales, especially among the impoverished, which would hardly meet the government's goal of easing poverty this year.
